Introducing... mono

Posted by Claire Pepper on

We first met the guys from Mono via the London crit racing scene, where a team in slick black and gold kit caught our eye. We are excited to add their range to the OMNIUM site. In their own words...

Mono started out as a race team built by group of friends from design school. United by a dedication to riding hard, racing, and the search for timeless and simple design, we first took to the road in 2014 with a kit that turned its back on the garish, sponsorship-heavy garbs that we felt had become too prevalent on the amateur racing circuit. Since then, Mono has built up a reputation for its classic yet unmistakably contemporary cycle clothing. Designed and tested by the team ensuring high standards of fabric and fit, our clothing stands out at the top of mountains, and in bunches and breakaways around the world, season after season.

Mono are a great embodiment of everything we love at OMNIUM, the combination of serious performance with great design and a passion for the visual. Their current season kit  draws inspiration from some of the world's most significant contemporary artists and designers. Edifices by Norman Foster, spaces by P-Joseph, art by the Mast Brothers and Bridget Riley, and furniture by Barber Osgerby and Naoto Fukasawa have all informed the ideas behind the collection and the team continue to be inspired by the city of London where they train and race.
